    Introduction

    Although TIBCO Mashery® provides a default Terms of Use statement, most customers require a customized Terms of Use page. This statement is viewed during account registration and outlines the legal protection of usage of the API.

    Create a Terms of Use Page

    To customize your Terms of Use page:

    1. Click the Dashboard link in the upper right corner of your Portal website.
    2. Click the Manage dropdown and then the Content link

    3. In the tree on the left hand side of the page, you should be able to find a sample  "Terms of Use" under "Custom pages. If it exists, you can jump to step 5.

    4. Clicking on Custom Pages in the tree will expand the list of pages in your area. You can either Click New Item and then click Custom Page or Create a new page at the top of the Custom pages list.

    5. Once you have the page editor displayed. Click on Advanced Options.
    6. At a minimum, you will need to enter Api_Terms_of_Use in the Page Name field.

    7. Click on Advanced Options again to switch back to the basic view. Under Body, enter your Terms of Use information. If you prefer to enter HTML you can click on the HTML icon to toggle between the source code and the provided WYSIWYG editing tools to format your page.
    8. To the right of the Save button, you will see a button marked "Draft" or "Published". Once you are happy with your Terms you can switch to Published to make the new page live to your users.
    9. Click Save when you have completed any changes.

    Terms of Use Link in the Footer

    If you wish to provide a link to your Terms of Use information within the footer on your site:

    1. Click Manage and select Portal from the drop-down list.
    2. Click Portal Setup.
    3. Under Footer Links at the bottom of the page, enter the following:
    4. Link Name - API Terms of Use
    5. Location - Api_Terms_of_Use
    6. Click Save
