    Web Logs Utility

    The Web Log Utility provides a method for reporting on page hits in the TIBCO Nimbus? web interface, It can be configured to run reports that best suit your needs and has a wealth of reporting options. In this guide you will learn what the utility does and how to configure it to get the information you need. If at ay time you are unsure about any information or wish to discuss the utility in greater detail please contact the TIBCO Nimbus helpdesk .

    Accessing the utility

    To use the utility you will need to log into the TIBCO Nimbus? cloud portal

    Once you have logged in, you will see all the active applications you have available to you. For a default installation, you should be presented with four options. You will need to select Web Logs Utility as hightlighted in the image below. 


    Please note that, if the Web Logs Utility isn't in your list, this may have been disabled. If this is the case, please reach out to the TIBCO Nimbus? helpdesk and they will be able to assist further.

    Ad Hoc Reporting to Excel

    1. Log in to the TIBCO Nimbus? Cloud and run the Web Logs Utility .

      The Process Repository field should be pre-populated. However, if it?s not, then you can find it by running the  Installation Information in your applications on the portal page. Simply copy and paste the Process Repository path shown (for example \\ServerName\ShareName\TIBCO_Nimbus\Data\Nimbus Data\PR) into the Process Repository field in the Web Logs Utility.

    2. In the Export File field, specify where to save the report.

      By default, it will save the report to your User Area. This is the recommended location. Once the report has been generated, you can then take a copy of the report and save it to your local computer, if required.

    3. In the Date Range panel, select a date range of the results that you want to export.

      For example, you may want to export statistics for the last 3 weeks. If you want to specify a custom date range then select Custom Date Range and specify the dates.

    4. Select the data that you want to report on in the Common Export Options tab. For example:

      Total page hits for each day, week or month will display the total number of web server pages accessed.

      Total page hits by map for each day, week or month will display the total number of web server pages accessed for each map.

      Total page hits by user group for each day, week or month will display the total number of pages accessed by each user group.

    5. Include Metrics Sheet will create a separate metrics data sheet for the selected web statistics.

    6. Add any other items you wish to report on from the other fields and tabs.

    7. When you are ready to run the report click Export to file.

    Saving and Restoring Settings

    If you intend to run the report regularly, such as every month, you may want to save your settings so that you can quickly load them in future sessions. After configuring the export options click Save settings to WSE file. To restore the settings again, click Load settings from WSE file to open a previously saved settings file.
