odata access from TDV published service isn't working

When I am accessing a data service through XLS from odata feed to aTDV published resource, I keep getting an error message as " unable to connect" with the following error message -

Details: "Microsoft.Mashup.Engine1.Library.Resources.HttpResource: Request failed:

OData Version: 3 and 4, Error: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. (Server Error)

OData Version: 4, Error: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. (Server Error)

OData Version: 3, Error: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error. (Server Error)"

In TDV, I could see teh request coming to server and SQL getting executed. However the response is not flowing through to XLS. Any help with this error is appreciated.
