Are HTTP Persistent Connections used in BW 5.x if using the SOAP request/reply activity

In another thread it was mentioned to use the following configs for persistent HTTP connections. Does this get used when using the SOAP request/reply activity also or only the HTTP sender

Ex. configurations how to use HTTP persistent connections is BW (edit bwengine.tra)
