Imran Patan 2 Posted September 18, 2019 Posted September 18, 2019 we have observed that BW6 node process memory usage is going beyond what is configured 1 GB. As per the documentation it JVM parameters are set in the hirerarchy bwcommon.tra -> bwappnode.tra -> bwappnode-.tra -> bwappnode-.tra. Why the memory of node is going beyond what is configured per node
walid garbaya 4 Posted October 8, 2019 Posted October 8, 2019 Hi, Please check on this post, one possible explanation : https://stackoverflow.com/questions/44608283/why-is-the-actual-memory-fo... Walid
Imran Patan 2 Posted October 10, 2019 Author Posted October 10, 2019 When I took a closer look at the monitoring page displayed for the nodes, it shows three memory stats 1.Memory usage - This is matching with the OS ( Linux) RES/VIRT memory which is showing 1 GB/10 GB for a single application node at idle state. 2.Heap-memory usage , this shows 173/265 - Unable to interpret what exactly is this 3.Max heap memory shows 911 for a default ( default -Xmx1024m -Xms256m) setting I am not able to understand relation between 2 & 3 and why usage is showing as 265 instead of 911 which is shown as max in #3
