Joseph Zimolong
We have the following: TIBCO Data Virtualizaiton 8.1 - Setup on VMs in our Azure Tenant Power BI report published on Power BI Service Power BI Gateway We setup the Power BI Service dataset to refresh, going through the Power BI Gateway to pull from our TIBCO DV. When refreshing this simple dataset using Power BI Desktop, it takes about 20 seconds. When setting up the refresh on PBI Service (through the Gateway), it is taking nearly 5 hours. Any thoughts or guidance would be greatly appreciated! We installed the Power BI Connector on the Gateway server, using the standard ODBC configuration. Motsu Aboshi
First suggestion would be to compare the query plans (on DV) between the two refreshes - are they the same Functions not being pushed down, and a query too large to fit into the DV memory are the first things I would check. Joseph Zimolong
Turns out we needed to install the latest version of the TIBCO DV Power BI driver on our Gateway server. Once updated, the refresh started performing as expected.
