Please try the following suggestions.

Recommendation # 1 :Turn on tracing

This will add detailed information in the file /logs/cs_server.dsrc to help identify the cause. The steps are:

(1) Open /conf/server/log4j.properties in any text editor and append the following lines:

log4j.logger.com.cdata=DEBUG

log4j.logger.com.compositesw.cdms.ds=DEBUG

log4j.logger.com.compositesw.cdms.datasource=DEBUG(2)Set the MongoDB data source's Otherproperty toVerbosity=5

(3) Restart the TDV server. Reproduce the issue.

(4) Opencs_server.dsrc and look for any errors or warnings.

Recommendation # 2: Create aJDBC-ODBC bridge data source

As an alternative to a MongoDB data source, you can try a JDBC-ODBC bridge data source. This data source allows you to specify an ODBC DSN to use for the connection.

If a JDBC-ODBC bridge data source performs as slowly as Spotfire with ODBC, then the slowdown may be due to external factors such as:

(i) latency on the network.

(ii) latency on the MongoDB server end.

(iiii) latency associated with the type/size of data being retreived from MongoDB.
