Emma Hudson Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Hi Everybody I am using a treemap to illustrate my top 10 product families in my inventory. My data table contains all of my inventory movements for 2019 and I have set up a filtering scheme to display the closing inventory at October 2019 and I am showing the top 10 product families. I would like to show the inventory value (in short format) for these product families in the treemap underneath the product family name, like so: Product Name $1,000M I have tried to do this myself and this is what I've come up with: But it doesn't bring in the correct value. There are very few help files on how to do this so I'm hoping someone might know and be able to give me some ideas. Thanks :)
Emma Hudson Posted November 15, 2019 Author Posted November 15, 2019 Hi Gaia Thanks so much for responding to my query. Here is a sample of my data. If you hover over Product 1 in the treemap, you can see that the USD value is $1,579m. I would like this displayed on the treemap. But as well, if it is possible, if I changed the treemap to September in the filter (it is currently filtered on October), I'd like the value to change to the September value.
Gaia Paolini Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Thank you. Can you add the missing file What version of Spotfire are you using
Emma Hudson Posted November 15, 2019 Author Posted November 15, 2019 I've added both my spotfire file and the raw data (they're in my original comment which I've edited). My spotfire version is 10.3.1.26 which I think is the latest version.
Gaia Paolini Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 Try this expression for the hierarchy:
Emma Hudson Posted November 15, 2019 Author Posted November 15, 2019 It's almost there. That gives me the total in the 'stock value in usd' column for the particular product family (so it adds up all months). It doesn't seem to be picking up the particular month in my filtering scheme.
Gaia Paolini Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 go to Properties> Hierarchy and choose settings button on right. Select Current Filtering only. Does it work It worked for me.
Emma Hudson Posted November 15, 2019 Author Posted November 15, 2019 Gaia, you are an absolute legend. Thank you so much for your help with this!
