Paul Renaut Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 Hello. I have a very long running analysis that I feel could be sped up if I could increase the CPU being used by Statistica for the calculation. Currently, the CPU utilization is limited to one core, based on ~25% CPU when the analysis is running. I have tried the setting available under File--> Options --> Limits in order to set the Limit to 2 cores for "Number of processors (cores) to use". I have read that the CPU usage will still be capped out at the number of cores that I am licensed for, but that a message will be displayed and the value set back to the license limitif trying to set above that limit. I do not see any message, and it accepts my entry of 2 cores, so I assume that 2 cores is under the license limit. I am using Statistica 13.5.0.17, and "About Statistica" indicates that "Detected 4 coures, currently configured for 2". Is there something else that I am missing Thanks
Jeremy Melville Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Hi - you can try modifying the pooling numbers in the Administrator tool. Refer to page 26 in the section "Using Additional Cores in Statistica Server" of the installation instructions:https://docs.tibco.com/pub/stat/13.5.0/doc/pdf/TIB_stat_13.5_installation.pdfid=2
