Nelson Johnson Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 I have worked with Scribe Online (Tibco Cloud if you must) for a couple years but I am having some problems with setting up a new client. I set up a SQL user with db_owner role and logged into to the SQL Server using SSMS with the new user credentials and it works fine. I installed an an on-prem agent (on a different computer) and tested the connection to the SQL server with the user credentials using SSMS - ok here too. In Scribe, I set up a SQL connector and the connection test completed successfully. I verified that the firewall settings on the agent comptuer and sql computer are not blocking any of the ports called out here:(https://help.scribesoft.com/scribe/en/index.htm#sol/agent/proxyinstall.h...) When I create a map, the SQL connector says "Retreiving Metadata..." for about 5 minutes and then goes blank - no "blocks", no error messasges. I checked the agent logs and there are no (unusual) messages. Any suggestions
Nelson Johnson Posted March 9, 2020 Author Posted March 9, 2020 Ok, found the problem. I forgot to change the Agent (top right corner) of the solution. Once I selected the on-prem agent, it worked. Hope this helps someone else.
