I am new to EDISIM. I'm trying to copy and paste loops, like N1. I have the loop closed when I copy and paste and I have "Show unused" checked. After I paste the loop, if I expand it none of the elements have descriptions. I also notice all of the elements are optional rather than whatever their requirement designator originally was. on my local machine I've TIBCO Data Virtualization Studio and Server vers. 8.5 and a MySQL vers. 8.0.28 installation.

I've created a sample MySQL database in order to try to connect it by TDV.

I've tried to create a MySQL data source by specifying localhost as the Host and 3306 as the Port and then the necessary login and

password, but I've obtained this error when testing the connection:

[Not getting result when querying tdv view over hive table through jdbc randomly]

We are connecting to hive(cdh v. 6.*) Through tibco data virtualization v.8.4 and published views as virtual database(jdbc). Most of the times we get the results, but randomly sometimes it returns error saying not able to query the datasource.(no further details).

We were able to reproduce the issue by launching multiple simultaneous queries. In fact even though tdv had returned error, on cluster hive query was submitted and succeeded. Could you please let know what can cause the issue

Also, what is the ideal driver for creating hive datasource in tdv studio for cloudera distribution 6.3

We have the Scribe agent running for the target database server for other database replications we have, and I have been advised that providing the IP address (presumably public IP) of the on-premise SQL server instance to our supplier will suffice in order for the two databases to talk to one another across different private networks.

The question I have, not having had much experience with Scribe myself, is whether a public IP address for our on-prem SQL server is sufficient or whether we will need to provide the supplier some IP addresses to whitelist for Scribe itself

[User security accessing folders in a domain]

Hello,

I have a folder that I want to allow a user to have access to under a domain. We are using LDAP authenication and I assign a activer directory group for this person.

I went into the Security Center and see the user and I added a folder Name and assigned my new group to it and I see the user under that group.

When the user accesses BI the screen is blank and he doesn't see the folder which I want him to.

Anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong or point me in the right direction.

i'm purging a request queue onStartup process using java code but there is receiver jms queue process starter activity in a process and which consuming the request queue messages. when i run onstartup process java code purging only 1 message.

if i have 10 pending message java code will be purging 1 message and remaining 9 will be consuming by queue receiver.

I used to use Simba BigQuery JDBC Driver in previous version, and it is working fine, except domain based Ad-Hoc report, cannot use filter on the Ad-Hoc.

[How to eliminate extra white space in a test field bottom side]

I am facing an issue that lot of extra white space is there in a text field cell. I need to eliminate the bottom white space coming extra. I have added border for text filed but bottom padding is 0. Any help would be appretiated. Screenshot is attached here.
