Spotfire 5.0

There is an issue with printing and export to PDF: when a text area includes a property (Spotfire method for displaying a dynamic field), it does not print correctly.  While researching, I found that this is an issue in 3.3 (production) as well, but it is handled differently:

3.3: does not display anything (leave blank)

5.0: print text that says ?This visualization uses Javascript.  Enable Active Scripting under Internet Options in the Control Panel to display the visualization.?

I see this in both IE and Firefox on my desktop and cannot change my desktop settings.

When I log into Prod from outside the firewall, the print option works as expected (ie displays plan name and date info instead of leaving it blank).

Any ideas?

When viewing the original report in the browser everything is correct.

The problem is only when exporting to a PDF or Powerpoint etc. The text in our text boxes display the error message indicated in the original post.

I think the error message is your answer. It seems that java is disabled or being restricted on your browsers. I would check with IT or your admins on this.
