I have a table that has these 4 columns:
Date 1 Projection 1 Date 2 Projection 2
How can i get spotfire to combine these. Ultimatalty I would plot
Date (1 and 2) vs sum of Projection (1 and 2)
Create a new DT based on the initial table. Add a pivot transformation (row identifier: date1, column titles: none, values: sum([projection1]).
Insert > Rows > to second DT, from initial DT. Directly add a pivot before clicking OK. Now choose: (row identifier: date2, column titles: none, values: sum([projection2]).
This creates a table with two column: one for date and another one for the value, thus allowing you to plot all values. See screenshot attached.,

The short answer is that you can add add new rows to the same data table, using Insert > rows. While column matching you would have to match Date 1 & Date 2, Projection1 & Projection2 respectively.
Note that this creates a cyclic dependency so you should do this only if you're not expecting to refresh the data. Otherwise create table 2 which si copy of table 1, and then insert rows from Table 1.
