How can I avoid empty space of detailed visualization while having the recent data as default?

Hi Guys,

I have 4 bar graphs set up:-

  1. Number of Vendors/Year (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016)
  2. Spend/Vendor
  3. Spend by Month                 (Detailed Visualization when you click on any year of 1 or 2)
  4. Top 10 Vendors by Spend  (Detailed Visualization when you click on any month of 3)

This is the “Executive Summary” page of my dashboard hence having no visualization (Until you click on primary 1, 2) in 3 and 4 doesn't look good. Is there any way through which I could just display data of the year 2016 in 3rd visualization and top 10 Vendors of 2016 (from 3) by default? I do not want to show the empty visualization but at the same time I also want user to be enable to switch/drill down between years and months (from 1 and 2) to see details in 3 and 4.

Attached is what I have. 1.png is before and 2.png is what I want to display/keep by default with the capabilities of drilling down.

Is that possible?

Best,

Keyur Parekh
