I have a map with a feature layer(district of a country) and a marker layer. When I filter on the feature layer, there is no effect on the marker layer(obviously). Can I change this? There is a trick to view only the marker points that are on the feature layer area filtered?
This could work... but you'd just have to test it. The accuracy of each of the elements may come into play since REAL is such a large datatype, in accuracy that is. If no two points are super close, you could create calculated columns in both data tables with say the LEFT 6 digits and use this as your relation.
A data function that performs geofencing (determining which points are in which polygons) is available as part of this download from TIBCO Access Point: https://tap.tibco.com/storefront/sample-evaluations/tibco-spotfire-advan... The data function is called "Points In Polygons (Geofencing)". There are two versions, one for lon-lat geo coordinates, and one for x-y Cartesian coordinates. You will need to install the R packages "sp" and "wkb" on TERR for the data function to work.
