Mapping ownerid from CRM on-premise to CRM online. What is the simplest way to assign the mapping of the ownerid column in every crm entity, to the systemuser in the target crm which shares the same name as the systemuser in the source crm?
Depending of the number of users you have.
If you have relative few users, do as Ryan suggested. And tick the "cache result" box. So that you do not hit the target with a lookup for every record.
If you have lots of users, use a temp table. Create a table in a DB on the same server as the source DB,
And create a Scribe map to fill it with name and guid from CRM Online
and do not use the the CRM connector as source but use the SQL views as source. And then you can join in your temp table to get correct guids.
This will speed up preformance a lot.
The same method can be used for other entities that you can not create with guid.
If you have few of everthing use "cache", if not you should really considering using the SQL views as source and joining in some temp tables to speed up with a factor 50 or so....
Lookup againt CRM online is not fast....
