Learn how an easily configurable quality control solution built with Spotfire and TIBCO Data Science software can monitor large numbers of parameters and produce automated alerts when rules are violated. See how data is visualized in linked Spotfire dashboards, and how TIBCO Data Science software is the calculation engine supporting rules, alarms, and alerts.

Hyperconverged Analytics in Sustainable Energy - Solar energy is the world’s fastest growing electricity source. Energy teams use TIBCO’s Hyperconverged Analytics platform — TIBCO Data Science, TIBCO Spotfire, and TIBCO Data Virtualization software — to create time series models and heat maps that identify optimal locations for solar farms. The analyses enable infrastructure planning in energy, manufacturing, and other verticals. We’ll demonstrate a dashboard that uses several data sources to forecast energy production so that solar and wind farm planners can make decisions from projected outputs.
Analytics and Data Science for Risk Management - Risk—from credit card fraud to machine failure and cargo mistreatment—affects many industries. Using TIBCO Spotfire and TIBCO Streaming software, the TIBCO Risk Management Accelerator allows non-experts to analyze events in real time. Our dashboard evaluates any transactional or event dataset with machine learning models and generates a prediction of risk. Beyond easy-to-use predictive power, further insight is provided by quantifying the factors influencing risk and providing tools for making trade-offs based on the likely cost of various actions.
Digital Twins for Manufacturing Product Yield Optimization - The convergence of IoT, machine learning, and big data technology has given rise to the digital twin—the generation of digital data to represent a physical object. Using the growing volumes of data from process equipment sensors, these digital twins are becoming key to efficient operations and high product yields as process complexity increases. This demo provides an example of a semiconductor manufacturing digital twin for product yield that detects associations between yield loss and thousands of machine sensor traces.

TIBCO Streaming Analytics in Operations - TIBCO accelerators jump start building end-to-end analytics solutions. See what’s new and watch a demo of the TIBCO Intelligent Equipment Accelerator. You'll learn how to capture and analyze IoT sensor data in real time and integrate using industry-standard protocols like OPC UA, OSI PI, MQTT, and Web Services, or build your own. In addition, how to apply custom validations, cleansing policies, rules, and feature statistics to data feeds to identify trends and gain insight, and how to use real-time model execution for anomaly detection and classification.
Practical Applications of Analytics
Overview - See real-world applications of TIBCO Spotfire, TIBCO Data Science, and TIBCO Streaming. Examples include anomaly detection, demand forecasting, energy production — and cycling!
Visual Data Science Apps with Python and Spotfire - Python has become the lingua franca of data scientists with its extensive machine learning and statistical packages. Now all this power can be embedded directly into interactive business applications and shared across the team with the Spotfire fully managed Python integration. In this session, we cover how you can use techniques like correlations, random forests, and NLP directly within Spotfire dashboards for a diverse array of applications from customer segmentation to sales forecasts to sentiment analysis of support calls.
Time Series Analysis for Understanding Customer Engagement - When engaging with an organization, people tend to exhibit behavior patterns over time, for example, when browsing a website, buying products, or using electricity. Understanding these patterns can help companies better serve customer needs or identify interesting anomalies. See how TIBCO used powerful machine learning to understand patterns of electricity consumption, and learn how time series analysis can be applied in a variety of scenarios across industries to understand customer behavior.
Demand Forecasting for the New Retail World - Demand forecasting is important for planning in Banking, Energy, Retail, and other industreis. In this demonstration, we showcase a retail example to predict future demand. With its sophisticated modeling tools, see how Spotfire analytics can spark insights into changing customer demand and trends. Visually inspect and decompose time series data and create forecasts using historical data and both traditional and the latest modeling techniques from open source libraries.
The Analytics of Cycling with Team TIBCO–Silicon Valley Bank - This demo is for fans of cycling, women’s athletics, teamwork, and/or Spotfire software! Celebrate the launch of the 2021 cycling season with the longest-running professional women’s cycling team in North America. TIBCO created a Spotfire dashboard that tells the story of each major race with multiple riders in one view and sensor metrics such as power, heart rate, and altitude. The explainer video with Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank cyclist Lauren Stephens tells the story of the team effort at the Tour of Flanders 2020.

This year’s hackathon focused on analyzing wind power production in Texas. The year 2020 marked a record year for the global wind industry. Participants used real-world data from multiple sources like Electrical Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to model wind power production from weather patterns and wind farms’ metadata.
