What are the changes in functionality?

TIBCO Flogo Enterprise Web UI is being deprecated and removed from version 2.14.1. The design experience is available through ?TIBCO Cloud Integration - Develop? (hereby referred to as TCI-Develop) in addition to the Open Source Web UI for Project Flogo. You will no longer need to download and install the on-premise Web UI shipped as part of TIBCO Flogo Enterprise. You can use TIBCO Cloud Integration to develop your Flogo apps as before. You will be able to generate the application binary from TIBCO Cloud Integration UI or using the Platform API and continue to have the same deployment flexibility. You will also continue to have access to eDelivery to download the on-premise tooling of the TIBCO Flogo Enterprise package, such as TIBCO Flogo Enterprise Monitoring. The installation of such components will remain the same. You can also keep using TIBCO Flogo Enterprise 2.14.0 for some time after the deprecation. We will continue to support TIBCO Flogo Enterprise 2.14.0 until the date of the end of support. Please refer to our end of support documentation. However, we strongly encourage you to move to TIBCO Cloud Integration to access the latest features and fixes.

Why is the Web UI component of TIBCO Flogo® Enterprise removed?

As we continue to focus on delivering the best developer experience for developing Flogo apps, we are introducing ?Design in TIBCO Cloud, Deploy Anywhere? to provide a fully managed, collaborative development environment hosted in TIBCO Cloud. Removing the Web UI component will save you the effort of manually downloading, installing, and upgrading TIBCO Flogo Enterprise and TIBCO Flogo Connectors on your machine. Instead, you can access those features and their latest versions on TIBCO Cloud Integration. This will allow you to focus on the development of your applications without worrying about the installation and configuration of the development environment. This also better supports our goal of continuing to provide a powerful design experience and being able to focus on delivering it through TIBCO Cloud.

How do I develop my Flogo Apps without TIBCO Flogo® Enterprise Web UI?

Flogo Apps can be designed either via the Open Source design experience available as part of Project Flogo or leveraging access to TIBCO Cloud Integration - Develop (provided to customers current on their maintenance and support for TIBCO Flogo Enterprise). Using these approaches, you will be able to generate the application binary. In the case of using TIBCO Cloud Integration for design, both the UI and Platform API offer mechanisms to generate the application binary and continue to have the same deployment flexibility.

What happens to my TIBCO Flogo® Enterprise perpetual license?

You will still have access to eDelivery with your TIBCO Flogo Enterprise perpetual license to download the on-premise tooling of the TIBCO Flogo Enterprise package, such as TIBCO Flogo Monitoring. Access to TIBCO Cloud Integration will automatically be provided to you to develop your Flogo apps. As long as you have active maintenance and support for your perpetual licenses, you will be able to log in to TIBCO Cloud Integration and use the latest TIBCO Flogo features through the TCI-Develop capability.

What happens to my TIBCO Integration subscription?

You will still have access to eDelivery with your TIBCO Integration subscription to download the other components of the TIBCO Flogo Enterprise package, such as TIBCO Flogo Monitoring. As part of your TIBCO Integration subscription, access to TIBCO Cloud Integration will automatically be provided to you to use the latest TIBCO Flogo features and to develop your Flogo apps using the TCI-Develop capability.

How do I get access to TIBCO Cloud? Integration to develop my Flogo® apps?

If you buy a perpetual license for TIBCO Flogo Enterprise or if you subscribe to TIBCO Integration, access to TIBCO Cloud Integration will automatically be granted to you. You will receive an email to register for TIBCO Cloud Integration. You will be able to log in anytime and develop your Flogo apps as you would with TIBCO Flogo Enterprise.

Do I still need to download and set up Flogo® Connectors?

No, you will not need to download Flogo Connectors as they are included in TIBCO Cloud Integration by default. All the TIBCO Connectors features are available through the Flogo triggers list and Flogo activities list. You need to create Connections in the Connections tab of TIBCO Cloud Integration to set up Flogo Connectors. A Connection contains the necessary parameters specific to the selected Flogo Connector to connect to the endpoint. Also note, while all Connectors are made available for design as part of the TCI-Develop design experience, you are entitled to the capabilities based on your license types and specific products purchased.
