    Bill Mclane

The purpose of the document is to provide a guide to install, configure, and run TIBCO Enterprise Message ServiceTM (EMS) in a fault-tolerant configuration on Microsoft Azure. In addition, the document will provide the steps and expected results for testing EMS F/T on Azure.

    The document will outline:

    • Setting up Red Hat Linux virtual images on Azure
    • Setting up Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 virtual images on Azure
    • Setting up the shared file system in Azure
    • Setting up the CIFS/SMB mount on the Red Hat Linux and Windows Server VMs with optional TLS encryption
    • Installing and configuring EMS for F/T on both platforms
    • Tuning EMS for Azure

Running tests on both platforms for:

    • EMS process failure
    • Network failure between the VM running EMS and the shared storage
