Handle bulk volume of requests in integration platform

If the request's are increasing day by day like 1000 on today and 10k on tomorrow then 1 million on the other day. how would you handle the situation and what would to do to process all the messages

How are the requests received

What processing is required

How big are the messages

Do the requests come in all at once or are they spread through the day

Another point is undertand the life cicle of the message and set the properly change in the consumer and publisher parameter, some times the you need change the ACK flow. message persistence, time to live and so,in order to increase the number ofmessage processed in the server side. But, you need undertand the impact of changes and criticity of messages before update those parameters.
