How to make the text area's name change based on the dynamic filter

Hi guys

How do I make the text inside the text area change to thename of the dynamic filter when the name is not in the column I am using for my value axis e.g. I have got a column with 3 locations, such asLA, Seattle andDallas, I created a dynamicfilter expression for thedrop downcalled 'West', which means all 3 locations. I created a calculated value in my text area for my dasboard title that will update whenever I pick a location in the drop down I have created, such as when LA is picked the title changes to LA, Seattle is picked the title will change to Seattle and so on, but when I picked the dropdown called 'West' the title does not change West, it stays as Dallas. Is there a way to make the calculated value use the names in the drop down Please help.

Hi there,

this dropdown list is expressed as a string, it has 4 dropdown list optionssuch as, LA, Seattle, Dallas and West.This drop down is a dynamic filter and I have used an expression inside the dropdown see image in attachment 4. I want to show all 3 locations when I pick West and this works but when you check the text area on the right it does not update to West (see image 3), it stays as Seattle. Do you have an idea how make it change to West
