Blanka Klari Posted June 19, 2021 Share Posted June 19, 2021 I was conducting research where I had half of the respondants go through treatment while other half did not. Now I have a variable in which respondents taht did go through the treatment have value for that variable ( 1 to 5 with text) and other half with no value (empty case). How can I recode this as a new variable so I can have one group 1 - those who didnt go throug treatment (empty cases)and group 2 - those who did (multiple different answers).
