adan1 -
Hi, I don't understand why in BW6 I would need to access a sub-process as service instead of accessing it directly. Any use case where one should use service sub-process Other persons have asked the same question but they have never received any response. Hope I'll have more chance. adan1 -
It's too bad. Seems no boday is aware why we would need to have sub-process with service interface. If I can help, I would say it's regarding the use of microservices, but I am not sure. Any confirmartion Thanks

Emmanuel Marchiset 2
In initial releases of BW 6.X only Service Processes were available. The idea was to make all sub Process available as Services that could be called locally or remotely to favor re-use in a Service Oriented Architecture model. In practice is was not very convenient to use this approach so Direct Sub-Processes were introduced later on. Nowadays use of Direct Sub-processes is recommended and Services Sub-Processes are only supported to ensure compatibility with developments made with old BW 6.X releases. adan1 -
Hi, Thanks for your answer. Emmanuel Marchiset 2
In a BW 6.X context the approach would be to develop BW applications that would expose REST API and to deploy those applications to BusinessWorks appspaces.
