"Ghost" Records Reappearing Daily

My company is using an on-event app to move data from Salesforce to another system. The Execution History shows that at 5:00 AM local time every day, the app runs on its own and unsuccessfully tries to process several records that were initially in Salesforce but have since been deleted. I don't know where these are coming from. TIBCO Support thinks that Salesforce is sending them somehow, but the app is run on-event, not on a schedule, and the deleted records are attempted every morning at the same precise time.
