Connecting SCRIBE to SQL Azure

Hi,

 

I would like to know if it is possible to host the SCRIBE(insight) Internal database in SQL Azure. Also we would want to use SQL Azure as source and target in DTS files. Does anyone have experience with this

Hi Higo,

 

Hosting a Scribe Insight internal database in SQL Azure is not an officially supported configuration of the product. Any members of the community are welcome to share their experience.

 

There are customers who have installed the Insight Server and the internal database on a single Azure virtual machine hosted on Azure. But I understand your question to be about just having the database be hosted in SQL Azure.

Do you know any succesfull implementations with the internal database hosted on SQL Azure

 

I am getting the error :

"Connection failed for server xxxxx

(SQL-DMO)SQL Server xxxxxmust be upgraded to version 7.0 or later to be administered by this version of SQL-DMO."

 

Do you know how I can solve this

Hi Robert,

 

Check this discussion for some more information about this error. Note that Scribe does not support this configuration for the Insight internal database.

Is Scribe Insight still not supported on SQL Azure This is an old post, wanted to see if anything further has been done to for it to work on SQL Azure.
