How to Integrate TDV with VSTS

I see from the documentation that TDV 7 supports GIT and SVN. Also it states that "Version control for TDV can be extended using custom properties to connect with other version control systems". Are there steps or documentation that specify how to configure this for VSTS.

 

Also, is this a capability for version 8.

Any update on these guys, this will be of great benefits for team like us who are geared towards Microsoft stack and so use vsts/tfs source control
