Queue based integration with a seek step where the seek returns no match

I have a queue based integration with a seek step as the first step as we only want to update the record we do not want to insert a new one.

 

If the record does not exist I would like to move the record to the dead message queue. I have set the action to End Job and entered an error message. The integration is set to move the message to the dead message queue on failure. Is this the best way to achieve what I want

I've finally managed to create some test data and the answer is that yes the above does do I what I wanted it to do.
