How to replace from drop down list properties to default value

Please find details

Scenerio:-

1. Two drop down list fields in text area , one is casecade value based on other.

2. Casecaded drop down shows the correct valuewithnone or ---

Problem -

How to replace from cascasing drop down list to default value , in detail when I chnage the value on first drop down list field than cascaded drop down should shows the user defined default value rather than None or ---
