Best way to pull one field from a table multiple times in an information link

I have a table with unique employee numbers and names. In my currentinformation link, I am pulling various data fields from two other tables. Now, I would like to update multiple employee name fields/columns to normalize them with the names in this third Employee master table. Right now, the names are coming in from the two main tables but vary due to punctuation, spaces, etc. The employee number is in my current information linkin mulitple fields per row. Obviously Im looking for the most efficient way to do this for processing 6mil records and growing.
