TIBCO EBX - Hot standby failover

Hi,

I have setup two running instances of ebx in one in main mode other in hotstandby.

e.g. http://localhost:8080/ebx - main and

http://localhost:8081/ebx- failover

I can activate the standby to take the ownership of the repository by calling url like http://localhost:8081/ebx/activationKeyFromStandbyMode=7110110110711571101101107

the question is how do I take the ownership of the repository back to main (http://localhost:8080/ebx) without shutting down the failover server.

Thanks

Hi,

As I know, when you call the standby instance, the main state change to D, so you need to recheck the JVM to know why you lose the ownership. You cannot re activate the ownership without shutting down it.

One way is to have 2 standby instance and add a F5 to check each instance, and restart the owner when he loose the ownership.
