Updating the NOTE on SOP Header

I'm using Scribe Online and I have created the SOP document and line items in GP - and I have also added a NOTE to the SOP header. Now I need to go back to that SOP document and I would like to be able to update/modify the NOTE on the SOP header. I have attempted to use the GP adapter on the Sales Order and update that record. I am not able to get that to work. So I attempted to use the SQL adapter and just modify the SY03900 table directly through the NOTEINDX. That is not allowing me to do that either.

Anyone have any advice or luck in updating the NOTE on the SOP header
