Charles Spanholtz
Is there a way to connect Data Virtualization to a Parquet file
Sharath Chandrika Mummoju
Hello Charles, TDV does not have an out-of-the-box adapter for Parquet. You candownload and try the CDATA adapter for Parquet (https://www.cdata.com/kb/tech/parquet-tdv-setup.rst) You can reach out to the CDATA team for the Parquet adapter. To install adapter, download JAR file and use Autodeploy to deploy the new adapter. Move the new adapter JAR file to /packages/autodeploy_ds_adapter and then Restart the TDV server For assistance beyond installation issues, you will need to contact CDATA Support. To explain, the support arrangement between TIBCO and CDATA is as follows: (1) CDATA adapters that are listed under "TIBCO Supported Adapters" on the page: https://www.cdata.com/solutions/dv/tibco/ as supported by TIBCO Support. The page explains this as follows; -------------------------------------------- TIBCO Supported Adapters These Adapters are included with TIBCO Data Virtualization by default, and are supported by TIBCO. For Technical Support on these Adapters, please reach out to TIBCO Support (https://support.tibco.com) -------------------------------------------- (2) For any adapters not listed under "TIBCO Supported Adapters" (e.g. Parquet) - TIBCO Support will help with installation questions - Assistance beyond installation questions will be provided directly by CDATA Support. Alain Martens
TIBCO Data Virtualization can connect to parquet files out of the box as of version 8.4. (So no need for CData anymore to do this).
